Saturday Morning Gather #15
gath•er: to come together or bring together into one group, collection or place
If you are new here, welcome and thanks so much for joining me!!
And if you’ve been around a while, as always, I am so grateful to you!!
Gather round and grab your coffee or favorite morning drink of choice and let’s take a look at what’s been happening this week.
First of all, I hope you’re having a wonderful week and a relaxing weekend!
It’s been a nice slow week here because of an ice storm, so I’m getting caught up on some things and trying some new recipes.
I’ve tried a few that we really love, so I will be sharing those soon!
on the blog
This week on the blog, I shared a fun football themed tablescape just in time for your Super Bowl party!
And I also have some fun ideas for a fun football themed dessert bar.
Also, on the blog this week, I shared this super easy and delicious Beer Bread recipe.
It’s my favorite bread recipe and really tastes like yeast bread. The good part is you don’t have to wait for the bread to rise, punch it down, wait for it to rise again, and so on.
Just 3 simple ingredients, mix it together and bake. And that’s it.
And the most exciting news on the blog this week is our new link party called Fabulous Friday Link Party!
I have teamed up with Lynn from Living Large in a Small House, Diane from South House Designs and Renae from Peacock Ridge Farm for this fun event that will happen every Friday at 7:00am central time and go until noon on Monday .
If you are a blogger it’s a great place to share your posts with others, and if you’re not a blogger, it’s a great place to get tons of inspiration all in one place.
I hope you will pop over and check it out, and let me know what you think!
in other random news
I live in Texas and on Wednesday it was about 65 degrees. The temps dropped all day into the night and then the rains came. By Thursday morning, we were covered in a blanket of ice, not snow, but ice!!
Let me just tell you that most Texans do not know how to drive on this, and our homes aren’t equipped for these temps for long.
As I type this, we are still covered in ice, because temps haven’t gotten above freezing. But the sun finally peeked out yesterday, so it is slowly starting to melt away.
Meanwhile, I am supposed to be driving out of town tomorrow for a 3 week design job. The good news is, the client happens to live 7 miles from my daughter and son in law, so I will be staying with them and my granddaughter.
I’m really excited to spend time with this peach!! But, I’m not sure how they’re going to feel having mom in their space for 3 weeks!
