a monthly dinner club
If you are new here, let me explain about my dinner club.
About 2 years ago, I joined 4 other blogger friends and created a virtual dinner club.
Every month, we have a theme, and we each create a tablescape to go along with our theme.
The tablescapes are shared with you the last Thursday of every month.
We also create a menu to go along with our theme that we share the last Saturday of the month. We take turns with each of the courses, and share a drink, appetizer, 2 side dishes, main entree and a dessert.
Last year, we decided to invite a guest host every month, and this month we are happy to have Kate from Southern Home and Hospitality joining us.

a refreshing sparkling grapefruit cocktail
This month I had the cocktail for our menu.
I had so much fun experimenting with recipes.
I decided on a grapefruit cocktail, and I shared several variations including a mocktail recipe.
This refreshing drink is perfect for any spring or summer get together.
It’s not only delicious, but so pretty.
I made flower shape grapefruit juice ice cubes to add to the cocktail, which added a fun and beautiful element.
The best part, is when the grapefruit ice cube melts, it doesn’t water your drink down like a normal ice cube would.
In fact, as it melts, it continues to add a wonderful flavor to your cocktail.
Get the recipe and details about how to make grapefruit juice flower ice cubes here.
