Saturday Morning Gather – #4

gath•er: to come together or bring together into one group, collection or place.

Good Morning friends, and welcome to Saturday morning gather.

If you are new here, welcome and thanks for joining us!

And if you’ve been around a while, as always, I am so grateful to you!!

Gather round and grab your coffee or favorite morning drink of choice and let’s take a look at what’s been happening this week.

on the blog

The past 2 weeks, I’ve been sharing our Airbnb cottage renovation on the blog.

I wanted to be sure and give details about the renovation and where I found the things I decorated with. So, to keep it from being such a long post, it is divided into 4 parts.

If you missed any of them, you can click the link on any of the photos below to see the post.

I hope you have enjoyed the tour, and please leave any questions or comments at the end of the post.

it’s fall y’all!!

It is finally cooling down a bit in Texas, and I couldn’t be more thrilled!! It’s my very favorite time of year.

There’s just something about the crisp mornings and chilly evenings, that makes my heart happy.

Don’t you just love it??

large stack of white heirloom pumpkins

I am obsessed with pumpkins, so I’ve gone a bit overboard with heirloom pumpkins this year. The shapes, the colors…… I just can’t help myself!!

How many pumpkins have you bought this year?

If you missed my instragam story a couple of weeks ago, I shared a tip about something I do with my pumpkins at the end of the season before I throw them out.

pile of real pumpkin stems laying on a gray fabric

Cut the stems off, and lay them on a paper towel to dry out, so they don’t mold. I save them for the next year to use for crafting. It’s amazing how a real pumpkin stem can change the look of a faux pumpkin. They are also so cute on a fabric pumpkin.

Did you see the huge no sew fabric pumpkin I made last year?? I used a stick for the stem on this one, but it would be super cute with a real stem.

halloween

Do you decorate for Halloween??

To be honest, until last year, I haven’t decorated for Halloween since my daughter was little (she’s now 31).

I decided it would be fun to pull out some of my Halloween decor and add a little to it. I ended up having so much fun creating a Halloween tablescape last year.

I did one version that was a typical “scary” (but not too scary) Halloween version, then one that was a bit more classic. You can see that post here.

I will be sharing this year’s Halloween tablescape next week on the blog.

Also, I added some fun jack-o-lanterns to my decor this year. I got the inspiration from Ambyr at Living Country Cottage. I started collecting the jack-o-lanterns at thrift shops and discount stores all year.

8 white jack o lanterns stacked at different heights on risers and books sitting on light wood chest and large vintage mirror in background

Then I spray painted all of them white, and I love how they turned out!!

in other random news

I’ve been on a bit of a clothes shopping binge lately!!

I have found so many cute shirts and sweaters at Walmart. And, since they are so reasonably priced, I can’t help myself!

I have been sharing some of them in stories on IG, but if you have missed it, here ya’ go!

You can click on the link on each photo to see the item. If the item says “sold out”, be sure and check out the other color options.

I also shared my favorite necklace that my daughter and son in law gave me for Mother’s Day. Mine says “Mia” which is my grandmother name!

I think these would make a wonderful Christmas gift! However, since they are personalized, it can take 4-6 weeks to get them so you have to order soon to have them in time for Christmas.
