weekly recap on the blog

This week on the blog I shared how to make a delicious basil pesto!

I love to harvest my basil in late summer, and make a large batch of pesto.

I keep some out to use for now, and freeze the rest to have for soups, pastas, spreads, etc., throughout the winter months.

Take a look at the recipe and all the ways I love to use basil pesto.

in other random news

I can’t believe we are halfway through September!!

I’ve about finished up the fall decorating, and just waiting for actual fall temps to make an appearance.

It has actually been pleasant in the mornings and evenings lately but still warming up to about 90 degrees in the daytime.

I feel like summer is staying like an uninvited guest!

this carpet cleaner I just bought and it is amazing! If you missed my IG stories post, I started cleaning rugs in my house, and after only 2 rugs, the water was filthy! I had no idea my rugs were so dirty. This was the best $120 I’ve ever spent! So easy to use and so worth the price.

and this super cute sweater vest, I just got. It’s been fun to wear over a short sleeve tshirt while it’s still warm, then I can add a long sleeve shirt for fall weather. It’s very lightweight and comes in 4 colors.
