A New Look and a Fresh Start

Hello, and Happy New Year friends!

I hope 2023 is off to a great start for you.

I’ve been super busy the past few weeks taking down and organizing Christmas, deciding what’s next for my decor and planning content to share with you over the next few months.

One thing that has been on my to do list is to redo my website. I have wanted a new look and a more user friendly site for quite a while but knew it would take quite a bit of time.

Something which I am usually lacking.

A sweet blogger friend, Lynn from Living Large in a Small House, who lives outside of Chicago was going to be in Dallas the week between Christmas and New Year to visit her daughter. She offered to help me redo the website one day while she was here, which was a huge blessing because I am about as tech savvy as my 3 year old granddaughter.

Since she made such a generous offer that I could not pass up, that lit a fire under me to get things together and be ready for her arrival.

One of those things included getting a new computer. I have needed to do this for quite some time and several blogger friends had strongly encouraged me to switch from my PC laptop to a MacBook.

I knew that was the move I needed to make but I was terrified as I knew it would be a big learning curve.

And as I mentioned, I am not very technical and I don’t really like change.

I decided to bite the bullet and purchase the new computer right before Christmas to be ready when my friend arrived to help with the new website.

I literally took the computer out of the cellophane and box the night before she arrived, just in time for my husband to copy everything over from the old computer to the new one.

Lynn was such a trooper and so patient with me! She spent 8 hours at my house helping me navigate the new computer and completely redo my website.

There is still a bit of tweaking to do, but for the most part, it is finished and I am loving the new look.

I hope you’ll take a few minutes to look around. I would love to hear what you think about the new website and also what type of content you would like to see in the future.

I love entertaining and hosting family and friends. Creating unique tablescapes for those get togethers has become a passion and I love to share them with you.

My goal is to share budget friendly ways to create a cozy and welcoming home, along with DIY’s, recipes and occasional gardening ideas.

It is so gratifying to hear from you and know that you found inspiration from something I shared.

It is very important to me to stay true to myself, stay on brand, create original content and ideas and be the best version of myself and not a poor version of someone else.

I can’t begin to express how grateful I am to you for following along. It makes what I do seem to matter and I appreciate every comment, kind word, suggestion, etc.

My hope is that you find some joy and inspiration while scrolling through the pages of my blog.

blessings,
