a monthly dinner club

If you are new here, let me explain about my dinner club.

About 2 years ago, I joined 4 other blogger friends and created a virtual dinner club.

Every month, we have a theme, and we each create a tablescape to go along with our theme.

We also create a menu to go along with our theme, and we take turns with each of the courses, and share a drink, appetizer, 2 side dishes, main entree and a dessert.

However, this month since we are hosting a game night, we created a menu filled with some small bites, and a cocktail.

We invite a guest host to join us and this month we are happy to have Missy from Sonata Home Design joining us.

Winning Game Night Party Table Ideas and Inspiration

I have been wanting to create a game night tablescape for a long time.

About a year ago, I found a huge deck of playing cards, and thought they would be the cutest placemats.

Those were the inspiration for this game night table setting.

I used lots of things I already had on hand and a few thrifted things to create this table.

It was so fun to put together, and I hope you love it too!

If you missed my tablescape ideas, you can see all of the details here.

Black Bean and Corn Nachos with Balsamic Glaze

As I mentioned, we all made an appetizer or snack for this game night party. Oh, and let’s not forget the cocktail!

My recipe is an old favorite that a friend shared with me many years ago.

I was visiting this out of town friend and during my stay she made the best nachos.

These are so good and have an unusual ingredient that isn’t typical of nachos. I think that ingredient is what takes them to the next level.

A small white plate holds Black Bean and Corn Nachos with melted cheese, garnished with a drizzle of balsamic glaze. A dollop of guacamole is also on the plate. An avocado, a fork, a towel, and a bottle of "Sua Maesta" balsamic vinegar are beside the plate.
