I have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of cooler temps.
And finally, this morning, we have a chill in the air!
It will be warming up again this week, but hopefully we are past the 90 degree temps!
If you are new here, welcome.
Saturday Morning Gather is my weekly newsletter where I share what is going on at Vintage Home and also share inspiration and things I have found during the week that I think you might enjoy.
If you’ve been around a while, as always, I am so grateful to you! I truly appreciate you showing up and continuing to support my blog.
Gather round and grab your coffee or favorite morning drink of choice and let’s take a look at what’s been happening this week.
on the blog….
This week was my monthly dinner club and our theme was an adult Halloween party.
I created a black and white (with just a touch of orange) tablescape.
Pop over and see details of how I put this Black and White Halloween Tablescape together.
And our menu this month, to go along with our Halloween party theme, was so good!
I created a Pumpkin Apple Cider Sangria, and my friends had some amazing recipes to go along with our theme.
I also shared this super cute and fun Halloween snack board that I made last year.
It is perfect for any of your Halloween get togethers.
This would be fun for an adult or even a child’s Halloween party.
You can certainly change up the food choices based on the age of your guests, but use some of these serving ideas.
in other random news…
We celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary yesterday!
We are spending the weekend in Houston with our kids and grandchildren, and have an anniversary get away planned for the beginning of November.
We have some favorite small towns in South Texas we’re going to visit, but wanted to wait until it cools off before we make the trip.
I’m looking forward to a long weekend in some of our favorite places next month.
I will share some of our stops, because there will definitely be some antiquing and thrifting along the way.
Also, I attended my 40th high school reunion last weekend.
Where in the world has the time gone????
and some other amazing things I found….
this beautiful foraged fall wreath….
a beautiful fall table centerpiece DIY...
this pleated lamp shade DIY….
a creative gourd garland for fall….
delicous one pot lasagna soup…..
I’ve been enjoying changing up the decor in my home for fall. One of my favorite and easy changes is throw pillows.
These are a few I’m using on my sofa. The brown floral pillows I had custom made years ago by repurposing some window treatments that a friend gifted me.
And the small brown floral print pillow on the left, I found at a thrift store last weekend.
My brown check pillows are similar to these. And I love this floral pillow, and this floral block print pillow.
and I love these plates!!!!
I hope you found some inspiration at our Saturday Morning Gather today!
