The Best Menu for Southern Comfort Food

It’s menu day for my dinner club, and I’m sharing the best menu for southern comfort food.

Our theme this month was a “Southern Potluck Dinner”.

We all created a tablescape to go with our theme and they were all so creative.

monthly dinner club

If you are new here, let me explain about my dinner club.

About 2 years ago, I joined 4 other blogger friends and created a virtual dinner club.

Every month, we have a theme, and we each create a tablescape to go along with our theme.

We also create a menu to go along with our theme, and we take turns with each of the courses, and share a drink, appetizer, 2 side dishes, main entree and a dessert.

Last year, we decided to invite a guest host every month, and this month we are happy to have Heidi from Eleanor Rose Home, joining us.

I love creating themed table centerpieces and place settings!

And since I am a born and raised Southern girl this particular theme was really fun for me.

I enjoyed creating this tablescape using some things that are iconic to the south.

How To Make the Easiest Coconut Cream Pie in the Microwave

This month I was responsible for the dessert for our Southern potluck dinner.

This amazing coconut cream pie that you make in the microwave seemed like the perfect choice.

I’ve had this recipe for 35+ years.

It has some other variations if coconut cream isn’t your thing.

You can make a chocolate pie, strawberry pie, or banana cream pie with this pie filling recipe.

It’s super easy but SO good and also makes the perfect dessert to make for a friend or neighbor that you might be taking dinner to.
