I love creating themed table centerpieces and place settings!
If you’ve been following me for long, you know I don’t typically use a lot of color in my home decor, including my tablescapes.
However, my garden is bursting with peach and orange zinnias so I couldn’t resist incorporating them with these beautiful fresh peaches to create the perfect summer table.

inspiration for a peach inspired table
I have a peach tree in my yard that was loaded with peaches this year.
However, the variety I have becomes ripe in early to mid June. It’s now July and unfortunately all of my peaches are gone for the season.
Luckily, we have a farmers market on our downtown square every Saturday morning from early May through the end of September.
We live about a mile from downtown, so we love to walk to town or ride the golf cart to the farmers market on Saturdays.
This time of year I stock up on peaches every week as long as they are in season.
I have so many great peach recipes and I love to make them while I can still get fresh ripe peaches during the summer months.
If you missed my most recent peach recipe, you definitely want to check it out.
It’s the most refreshing summer treat and so easy to make.

Peach Theme Centerpiece Idea
Even though I don’t have peaches on the tree anymore, I still have leaves.
I cut a few branches with leaves to incorporate in my centerpiece.
I started with a large vintage pedestal in the center of the table. Then I placed a large white serving bowl on top.
Next, I filled the bowl with fresh peaches and tucked in a few leaves from my peach tree.
Even if you don’t have access to fresh peaches, realistic faux peaches are a great option. It’s an easy way to create the same look.
But if you do happen to use fresh peaches the good news is that you can send peaches home with all of your guests so they don’t go to waste. Or start making some of you favorite peach recipes.
Branches and leaves from the peach tree seemed like the perfect “table runner”. These were placed down the center of the table on either side of the centerpiece bowl.
Lastly, my collection of milk glass vases were scattered along the peach leaves down the center of the table.
And this is where those beautiful garden blooms come in.
For the finishing touch, I harvested orange and peach color zinnias from the garden and added a couple to each vase.
I love the simplicity of just a few fresh flowers, letting the gorgeous color make the statement.

Peach Inspired Place Settings
Place settings is where I have the most fun when creating a tablescape.
I enjoy thinking of different ways to incorporate unusual elements into each setting.
For example, for this particular table setting, I used clear glass corn on the cob holders.
I filled each one with moss and placed my flatware on top.
I used my gold flatware for this table. The color blends so beautifully with the peach hues of the other table elements.
Here is another example where I incorporated these holders for silverware for a Woodsy Fall Tablescape…
To continue with my gold and peach theme, I placed a brass charger at each place setting and layered with a white plate with gold rim.
Each place setting was topped off with a peach pattern melamine salad plate. I found these a couple of years ago at Hobby Lobby for 50% off.
They don’t have them anymore, but I have linked some similar at the bottom of the post.
I also used these peach salad plates for this summer peach theme table year before last.
My sweet friend Shannon, aka The Little White Barn, has a small peach orchard in front of her home. She was so kind to let me set my table in front of her white barn and peach trees.
I happened to have some orange napkins from a Halloween table years ago. They blended perfectly with all of the beautiful colors of the peaches and flowers.
The napkins were tied with a green and white check ribbon in place of napkin rings and placed on the center of the plates.
Dark green vintage goblets finished off the place setting perfectly.
And lastly, a clear glass vintage dessert dish will be used to serve delicious chilled peach soup.

what to look for at thrift stores – tablescape items
I love thrifting and estate sale shopping!!
The thrill of the hunt makes my heart happy and is a passion.
If you’re not a thrifter, let me just say that you would be shocked at the things you can find at thrift stores.
I have found so many treasures over the years that I incorporate into my home decor as well as my table decor.
Believe it or not, most of the things on this table scape were thrifted.
The brass chargers, white dinner plates with gold rim, gold flatware, clear glass corn on the cob holders, green vintage goblets, clear glass vintage dessert dishes and milk glass vases were all thrifted.
I have mentioned many times what a great idea it is to start a collection of white dinner plates.
They will go with any occasion, color, or theme.
White plates are a great base to any place setting. They can be layered with so many different options of salad plates, bowls, dessert dishes, etc.
If you pick them up occasionally when you are out thrifting, before you know it you will have a nice collection that costs very little.
The same things goes with colorful glassware and even table linens and napkins.
tips and other ideas for a peach inspired table
This theme would be great for casual summer weddings, a ladies luncheon, a bridal or baby shower, a garden party or a girlfriends birthday party.
If you don’t have access to fresh peaches, you can always purchase realistic faux peaches and create the same look.
Simple greenery from your yard can substitute for the peach leaves I used for this table and will make the faux peaches seem a little more real.
When creating a table scape, always remember that fresh greenery and flowers from your yard is a simple way to create great table decoration. And there are endless ways to incorporate it.
If you don’t have your own flower garden, you can certainly pick up some beautiful blooms at your local grocery store floral department.
You can also change up the color of the flowers to bring in another color scheme to your table decor.
If you are hosting a bit more formal event, you could add a beautiful table cloth, place cards and candles to your centerpiece for some extra touches.
Blue and white dishes, tablecloth or napkins would be so cute with this peach theme for a summer event.
If you happen to have peach trees or have access to lots of fresh peaches, you could place a few in a cute container on top of each guests plate for a take home favor.
It’s tablescape day for my dinner club and everyone created a peach theme table to go along with our “Everything’s Peachy” dinner party theme this month.
