I love hosting Thanksgiving at my home, and I got really excited about the idea of a pie buffet table for our gathering.
Of course, you can make this into a dessert table if you want to serve desserts other than pie.
If you missed our tablescapes, be sure and pop over to see lots of ideas and inspiration to create you own pie buffet table.

If you are new here, let me explain about my dinner club.
About 2 years ago, I joined 4 other blogger friends and created a virtual dinner club.
Every month, we have a theme, and we each create a tablescape to go along with our theme.
We also create a menu to go along with our theme, and we take turns with each of the courses, and share a drink, appetizer, 2 side dishes, main entree and a dessert.
Last year, we decided to invite a guest host every month, and this month we are happy to have Diane from South House Designs, joining us.
We changed it up a bit this month, and instead of a traditional meal and table setting we created a pie buffet table and each shared a favorite pie recipe.
How To Set a Fabulous Pie Buffet Table for Thanksgiving
I had so much fun creating a pie buffet table for this months dinner club theme.
It was a little different table set up than our usual traditional type table settings.
I bought a huge grapevine cornucopia at a barn sale in the spring and have been looking forward to using it on my table ever since.
That was the inspiration piece for my table and it made a great centerpiece filled with pumpkins and other fruits and veggies.

Pumpkin Buttermilk Pie with Cinnamon Whipped Cream
My all time favorite pie to make (and eat) is buttermilk.
I have been making this simple recipe for years.
Over the past couple of years, I have experimented with the recipe and created variations.
I made a buttermilk pie with homemade lemon curd that was SO good for the spring and summer months.
Recently, I decided to try a fall variation and created a pumpkin buttermilk pie.
I added a cinnamon whipped cream and it took this already amazing pie to another level.
A also made some mini pies from this recipe and took some to a neighbor who is ill.
They were so cute and made a great gift.
