Delicious Sparkling White Sangria

I am so excited to be joining 4 other blogger friends for a St. Patrick’s Day virtual dinner party! I created a delicious sparkling white sangria as my contribution to the menu. Come along and I will show you how I made it.

If you are visiting from Simply 2 Moms, welcome! Their Double Chocolate Irish Whiskey Cheesecake looks delicious, and I can’t wait to try it!

I hope you saw the St. Patrick’s Day tablescape I created on a budget, but in case you missed it, you can see that here.

St. Patrick's Day place setting

ingredients for Sparkling White Sangria

1 bottle white wine – I used Chardonnay
the sweeter the wine, the sweeter the sangria. If you prefer a less sweet sangria, use a dry white wine (like Chardonnay). If you prefer a sweet sangria, use a Riesling or Moscato.

1 bottle sparkling apple cider (sparkling cider is somewhat sweet, so keep this in mind when choosing your wine.)

fresh rosemary sprigs

green apple slices

directions for sparkling white sangria

mix white wine and sangria together, using a 50/50 mixture

slice green apple and add to wine mixture

(you can add other types of fruit to your drink, as well. Red apples slices, berries, peaches, oranges or lemons are great options.)

Garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary

“wine” cubes

"wine" ice cubes

Fill ice cube trays with white wine (whatever you choose for your sangria).

Add a small sprig of fresh rosemary, or a piece of fruit, to each cube.
(this step is optional)

Freeze overnight.
