Saturday Morning Gather #28
gath•er: to come together or bring together into one group, collection or place
If you are new here, welcome.
Saturday Morning Gather is my weekly newsletter where I share things going on at Vintage Home, and also inspiration and things I have found during the week that I think you might enjoy.
If you’ve been around a while, as always, I am so grateful to you!! I truly appreciate you showing up and continuing to support my blog.
Gather round and grab your coffee or favorite morning drink of choice and let’s take a look at what’s been happening this week.

This week, I shared a fun “peachy” themed tablescape just in time for summer and peach season!
In case you missed it, you can see that here.
And if you love a good peach recipe, here’s a delicious peach cake recipe.
It’s super easy to make and is my go-to for summer!
in other random news
I’ve been working out of town quite a bit since February for a decorating/design job, so my own projects and home decorating are a bit behind.
However, I did find time in between travels to brighten up my front door just in time for summer.
I shared a couple of weeks ago the color options I was considering, and suprisingly, very few of you picked the color I decided on.
I’m still unsure about the color for long term, but I kind of like it for summer. It’s a happy color!
What do you think?
These were my color choices. I decided on Benjamin Moore Mineral Green.
The photo on the right was the “before” of my door. That color is Sherwin Williams Grizzle Gray.
and some other amazing things I found…..
a beautiful and delicious lavender cake with apricot jam….
this gorgeous bed makeover and different ways to strip furniture…..
these adorable DIY lemon candles…..
this super cute garden trellis/obelisk DIY…..
my new favorite shoes.…. (I bought them in clear, and I am wearing the SO much because they go with everything!)
this beautiful devotional book…… (a very dear friend gifted this to me a few months ago, and I love it so much. Not only is it a great devotional book, the watercolor artwork is beautiful! It makes a wonderful gift too!)
this amazing hat tote my daughter and son in law gave me for Mother’s Day! I can’t wait to use it on my next trip/vacation!!
I hope you found some inspiration at our Saturday Morning Gather today!

Michele,
I loved the beautiful door. Thanks for sharing my DIY Garden Obelisk. I appreciate you.
Thanks Rachel! So glad you like the door color!
Your post are great BUT the color print you use cannot be read. Too light colors.
I also couldn’t read everything . Especially the yellow…
So sorry about that, and thanks for letting me know.
Thanks so much for letting me know! And thank you for the kind words about my posts.
Me again
How exactly are you hanging that large basket on your door?
It is lovely. Faux lavender?
Since green seems to be the color this year, I am not surprised.
Thanks for sharing
The basket is hung with a large command hook, and the lavender is real. It is in a pot, and I just take it out every few days to water it.
Love the door color!
Thank you! I think it will be fun for the summer months, then we’ll see about for fall.
Hello,
J’aime beaucoup la nouvelle couleur de la porte.
Nous avons beaucoup de chaumière avec cette couleur vert tendre par chez nous en Bretagne.
Bon week-end.
Anneka
Hello,
I really like the new door color.
We have a lot of cottages with this soft green color around here in Brittany.
Have a nice week end.
Anneka
Thank you so much! I love reading this in your beautiful language, and I’ll bet the doors look amazing on the cottages in your area!
