Add wine, apple cider and simple syrup to a punch bowl or pitcher.
Stir until blended.
Add sliced fruits and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
When ready to serve, fill glass with ice and pour sangria mixture in, then top with a splash of Topo Chico or club soda.
Garnish with orange slice and a cinnamon stick.
Pumpkin Simple Syrup
Add 1 cup water, 3/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup canned pumpkin and 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice to a saucepan.
Cook over low heat until boiling.
Reduce heat and simmer while stirring until pumpkin puree, sugar, pumpkin and spices are dissolved and well incorporated.
Turn off heat and let cool.
This can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Notes
Topo Chico or club soda is optional. This just adds a bit of fizz to the sangria. A variety of fruits can be used for sangria. Apples, Pears, Oranges, Strawberries, Pineapple and Peaches are great options.
