First of all, I can’t believe it’s been 20 years since the 9/11 attacks. In some ways, it feels like a lifetime ago, and is still so surreal. As Americans, we were all affected by that day, and my thoughts and prayers go out to those whose lives were forever changed as they lost loved ones! Also, many thanks to first responders and the heroes that helped save lives that day. May we NEVER forget!!
I hope you’ve had a wonderful week and are starting to enjoy the first signs of fall.
I am in Texas and we are still at a high of about 90 degrees every day. However, the past few days have been fairly cool mornings, and it has been delightful.
807 Cottage
Well, the Airbnb cottage is finally done!!!!
We have been working on this little place since mid June and we finally finished and are ready for guests.
It has been so much fun designing and decorating this place and I can’t wait to show you!
I am so happy with how it turned out, and want to stay here some myself, even though it’s only 12 minutes from my house.
I am working on photos and video and will be sharing before and afters with you very soon, but for now, I will share a few sneak peeks.
on the blog
This week on the blog, I shared an easy way to bleach pinecones.
I have been making these for years, and love the light color and texture they add to my fall and holiday decor!
You can see that post here! You can also Pin this image to save it for later.
in random news
My favorite sweatshirt, that I discovered last fall, is back!! I found this sweatshirt at Walmart last year and they are stocking it again and in different colors.
I loved this shirt so much that I bought it in several different colors, and even bought 2 of my favorite color.
It is oversized and boxy, and I like that the hem isn’t fitted at the bottom.
The best part is it comes in 13 colors/patterns and is $11.98!!
I just love fall and pumpkins, and I bought my first pumpkin this week! It was a huge Cinderalla pumpkin and I put it on top of an urn at the Airbnb cottage.
I am hoping to pull out my fall decor this weekend, so I will definitely be making a trip back to the nursery to buy lots more of these little pretties.
There were so many beautiful colors, and I wanted them all!!
Also, I posted a story on my Instagram a few days ago about finding a field of something that resembled cornstalks, but had an amazing bloom on the top. I knew it wasn’t corn, but wasn’t sure what it was.
Turns out it is Milo, also know as Sorghum.
I was able to track down who owned the field and got permission to cut some. I think it is going to make a beautiful wreath or arrangement.
some of my current fall favorites
This fall candy mix is also one of my favorite fall things. It is super easy to make, but I have to warn you, it’s addictive.
It makes a great gift for neighbors or teachers!!

Such a fun round-up of things today and I’m crazy excited your cottage is finished! It’s been so much fun to follow along and I know it’s going to be amazing inside and out. The green door and pumpkin alone are perfection. I’ve always heard good things about that sweatshirt so I definitely need to check it out as I’m diving into these links! Hugs, CoCo
